MERIDA (March 15, 2010) The 2010 Bronte Prize, for the first time in its four-year history, opens up its award process from closed nomination (2007-2009) to a Pay-to-Enter award format. Any author/publisher that feels his/her title is worthy of consideration for the award may now register such title in one of TWO categories (also a new feature this year!): Romantic Fiction and Women's Fiction. Entry fee is $97 per title. Registration closes May 14, 2010, Midnight CT. Stories can be any length. (Novel, novella, novelette, short story, flash fiction, etc.)
The Bronte Prize committe will announce finalists for both categories May 31, 2010. The Bonte Prize Winners will be announced June 14, 2010. Both Finalists and Winners will be announced via the Bronte Prize's media syndication network, as well as during a 60-second award recap on Sirius/XM's Book Radio (XM 163, Sirius 117).

After successfully paying the registation fee, you will be returned to a simple online form, through which you will enter your book details and then upload your book in PDF or DOC format. (We refuse to waste paper in this day and age, so we'll only accept your book in PDF or DOC formats, just as it appears in pre-press format, final draft version, or eBook format. Cheap for you, easy for us. If possible, please compress your file.) Registration closes at Midnight CT, May 14, 2010.
